By car:
Coming from the A10 turn after Radstadt / Schladming.
From the A9 in Liezen the Enns Valley and on to Schladming.
In Schladming follow the signs for Rohrmoos.
Just before the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen Talstation turn right into Alpstegweg.
By bus:
The bus times vary depending on the season. Please inquire with us prior to your arrival on the precise journey times. The bus stop is only a short distance from our house.
By plane:
The nearest airport is located in Salzburg. From there either by train to Schladming or you can easily take a taxi directly to our front door. We are happy to help you with arrival and are happy to arrange a transfer.
We want you to feel "at home" when you stay with us. All our rooms are comfortably furnished in a rustic style with wooden furniture and equipped with cable TV and fridge.
You can use the breakfast room, the lounge, the children's playroom, our internet corner, and also a ski and boot room.
Guests in the apartments have the option of a bun service or buffet breakfast at an additional cost.

The general travel conditions of the Austrian Hotel Regulations:
The Cancellation can be made without charge up to 60 days prior to arrival.
In case of cancellation 30 days prior to arrival, we charge a cancellation fee of 30%
of the original reservation.
In case of cancellation later than 29 days prior to arrival, we charge 50% of the package price.
In case of cancellation 10 days prior to arrival, we charge 80% of the package price.
In case of non arrival without cancellation we will charge 90% of the original reservation.
Cancellations will be accepted only with mutual confirmation.
We recommend a hotel cancellation insurance from the Europäischen Reiseversicherung.

In our spa you have a choice between Finnish and bio sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin.
The Kneippschlauch (water hose) and the Nebeldusche (mist shower) are also included in our Wellness area. Because of our size we can offer you private sauna sessions (for you and your partner, or your friends).

Our spacious garden is a paradise for children!
In addition to a lawn for you with great views of the mountains, our garden has a children's swing, slide, spring rocker, etc.

On Hochwurzen you can enjoy the 7km long toboggan run during the day or at night. Many huts (Hochwurzen Hütte, Hochwurzen Alm, Seiterhütte, Tauernalm) are located next to the toboggan run, perfect food and apres ski. There is a warm welcome waiting for you and your family.

The summit lift Hochwurzen is just a few minutes away. Rohrmoos is just a stone's throw away.

Enjoy the holiday with all your senses: sight, sound, touch, taste...
Visit pubs and restaurants that lie in close proximity of our house for lunch or dinner. Your car can stay parked in the parking lot so you can enjoy your night out!
In Haus Bergfried you have a choice: room or apartment. Depending on how large your family is, we have many options for you to choose from.
The "Rooms & Apartments" menu contains all the information so you can see the room or apartment beforehand. An availability link is also available to you.

The nearest indoor swimming pool with spacious outdoor complex is located in Schladming.
The ski resort Planai and Hochwurzenbahnen is world famous and offers skiers and snowboarders an extensive area to enjoy.
The Hochwurzen Gipfelbahn Talstation is located just a few minutes walk away. The piste is located right next to your rooms or apartments. So it is perfect for enjoying the whole day on the slopes and then being able to ski straight "home".
In Rohrmoos you will be spoilt for choice. Skischool Hopl or Skischool Tritscher will take care of you and show you the right skiing techniques on the slopes.
You do not own ski equipment? No Problem.
Sportwelt Tritscher or Ski Lenz, both stationed in Rohrmoos have for every level the best and newest equipment to rent.
Starting on your first night a Summer card is available in the high season (in low season on request). With over 100 free vacation experiences and over 100 bonuses, the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card is one of the most inclusive cards in the Alps.
With the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card you can ascend and descend a lift of your choice daily and all other recreational facilities can be used as often as desired.
Our younger guests receive of course their own Kids Summer Card. Especially for families, the card offers an unbeatable holiday offer. More than 40 holiday activities are specifically included for children and families.

The Schladming Tauern offer excellent hiking opportunities with spectacular natural attractions for the whole family. From easy to difficult, from short to long ... Everyone who is a nature lover can enjoy something in the region.
Toll roads and parking areas in the valleys can be used free for our guests. These are all inclusive in the summer card.
